Team Building Guide
Team Building Basics
Building an effective team is the key to success in Roco Kingdom: World. A well-constructed team of 6 sprites can handle almost any challenge the game throws at you. This guide covers the fundamentals of team composition.
Core Roles
Every effective team needs to cover these essential roles:
- Attacker (DPS): Deals heavy damage. Should have high ATK/SPATK stats and STAB moves.
- Tank: Absorbs damage for the team. High HP and DEF with defensive skills.
- Support: Heals, buffs, or provides utility. Essential for longer fights.
- Speed Control: Controls turn order with speed buffs/debuffs or priority moves.
Element Coverage
Your team should have coverage against as many elements as possible. Ideally, at least half your team should be able to hit super-effectively against the most common threats.
Popular Team Archetypes
Weather Teams
Weather teams use weather-setting moves to boost their entire team's performance:
- Rain Team: Water-type moves boosted, Fire weakened. Pair with Water and Electric sprites.
- Sun Team: Fire-type moves boosted, Water weakened. Pair with Fire and Grass (with Chlorophyll).
- Sandstorm Team: Damages non-Earth/Rock/Mech sprites. Pair with Earth and Mech tanks.
Burn/Toxic Stall
These teams use status effects like Burn and Poison to slowly wear down opponents while maintaining defensive positioning. Requires strong tanks and healers.
Hyper Offense
All-out attack teams with 5-6 attackers. High risk, high reward. Works best when you outspeed the opponent consistently.
Sample Teams
| Team | Core | Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Final Evo Cute Team | Cute-type focused | Counter Dragon and Dark meta |
| Multi-Core Rain | Water + Electric | Rain-boosted sweepers |
| Thunder Storm | Electric + Wing | Speed control + burst |
| Strong Poison | Poison + Dark | Toxic stall + sweep |
Tips for Improvement
- Test your team against the in-game Arena AI before taking it to PvP
- Keep a "flex slot" — one sprite you can swap based on the matchup
- Don't neglect defensive EVs just because you want more damage
- Pay attention to speed tiers — outspeeding your opponent is often more valuable than raw damage
